Welcome to my blog, Beautiful!
I am thrilled to start this journey of information download that I have acquired over the years from learning, teaching, doing hair, working with so many different people, and try to give you a part of my process and expertise that you can use in your every day life.
Hi! My name is Veronika Walker, I am Hungarian, loud and proud, living in a small, vibrant corner of southern United States. How I got here is a story in in of itself...
I lived the first half of my life in Mosonmagyaróvár, a small city in the North West corner of Hungary, about 30 minutes from the Austrian boarder. My town was full of life, full of merchants that oriented to shoppers coming across the border using our dentists and money exchange places, that were really too expensive to us Hungarians but cheap for them. They glanced through all the clothes shops and sat in cafes sipping lattes right there on the cobble stoned walking street where I strolled with my friends as a teenager.

I lived the second half of my life in the south. I spent 6 years in Marietta Georgia where I made my first American friend, Jess. She is still my bestie after 21 years.
I moved to Texas for a short while where my daughter was born and then back to GA. Finally I moved to Alabama where my son was born and I started my journey with hair!
Moving to Montgomery wasn't in my plans, in fact my plan was to move to Ireland with my then husband but as I learned later, we didn't really share that desire. The only place he wanted to move was Montgomery Alabama.
So, many years later, in 2014 as a divorced woman from Hungary with two kids living in the small town of Wetumpka working in a beautiful Salon in Montgomery
I met my forever husband, Joe Walker. Getting married in 2015 and moving to Birmingham in 2016 brought a lot of changes. Some were terrible and some were amazing. Slowly we built a life together based on love, caring and mutual desire to have a family so great that only we could imagine for ourselves. And then we had our little Sam. He brings so much joy to all of us.
Right before Covid hit I opened my very own Salon Suite that was the perfect job for me. I could finally drive my business as fast as I wanted to, or as methodically as I needed. It was good for my soul.
One month later my whole industry was shut down. We were not able to work at all. I decided that I would not color my hair either in solidarity of my clients. When we finally got the green light to start working in May of 2020, I was the first person back at the suites. I couldn't wait to continue to take care of my beloved clients and they were eager to see me!

What a wonderful story! You might be the coolest person I have ever known!
